Have You Heard !?

Puppies should never have contact with other dogs, animals or soiled areas, and you should always wait at least (1) month before taking them to dog parks. This is because, until they have had their full set of shots, they are susceptible to all sorts of diseases from various carriers. There are typically (4) sets of shots that all puppies should be given. This full series of shots provides all the vaccinations a puppy needs for its new life. If you receive a puppy or adult dog from anyone, never allow yourself to be fooled by word-of-mouth, such as "They have had all of their shots." Never take the risk, start the process all over again, if you are unsure. This way, you are comfortable and so is everyone around you, and it does no harm to your pooch.

Raw Hide Products

I never support the giving of Raw Hide products to a dog. My personal opinion is that the Raw Hide Industry is a billion dollar market that accepts no responsibility to the dangers that arise from the chewing, ingesting and releasing of raw hide materials in dogs. My professional opinion is that it is dangerous to some dogs who may not be able to completely digest the raw hide material. It may get caught in the throat, it may not fully pass through the intestines, it may not break down in the stomach acid, causing terrible bowel movements. Please consider these things when giving your dog Raw Hide materials.

If You Didn't Know...

My job, as your dog trainer, is to teach your dog how to respond to the basic commands. Your job, as the dog owner, is to work with your dog to continue said training, even after our sessions are complete. One of the most absolute reasons a dog does not respond well to training, is because after I leave at the end of the session, the owner does not continue said training. I always encourage you as a trainer to work with the dog at least (1) hour or more after a session with me, to ensure the dog is responding to you as the Alpha in the pack. Remember, you are the owner, so you are more responsible to your pooch than anyone else.

The Myth of "1-2-3 Step Training"

You will never receive this level of training with I Love Your Dog Pet Services. We do not believe in simple (2) or (3) session training. A dog trained this way should never be considered a trusted member of the family. This is what I believe. It only takes a simple break-away from the lease or your grasp to be hit by a car in traffic, or approach a non-friendly dog.
